Here''s good news and bad news scenario! The good news is the widening of Escario St. will finally start this Tuesday. The bad news is, someone gave a building permit to construct another hotel in front of the Parklane Hotel. That brings us to the question: Where will they widen this road and why has the construction of this new hotel started? Ezz a puzzlement!

As of this writing, we still have to see anyone challenge Gov. Gwen Garcia for the governorship of Cebu. So far, there’s no one from the opposition’s horizon. But not very surprisingly, last week a challenger’s name surfaced and he was no other than former Rep. Celestino "Junnie" Martinez Jr., husband of Rep. Clavel Asas Martinez, who sparred with Gov. Garcia in the 2004 elections but lost.
