The Bureau of Immigration has included Abra Gov. Vicente Valera in its hold departure list.


Immigration Associate Commissioner Roy Almoro said the hold  departure order (HDO) against Valera was issued last Feb. 12 in compliance with the order of Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 223 Judge Ramon Cruz stemming from the charges of illegal possession of firearms and explosives lodged against the governor.


Almoro explained Valera will not be allowed to leave the country without the permission of the court.

Sinabi ni BI Associate Commissioner Roy Almoro, ipinalabas ang HDO upang mabantayan si Valera at maharang sakaling magtangka itong lumabas ng bansa.


Ang HDO ay base na rin sa kautusan ni QC RTC Branch 223 Judge Ramon Cruz.

The Quezon City Regional Trial Court (RTC) postponed for the second time the arraignment of Abra Gov. Vicente Valera who is facing charges of illegal possession of firearms, after his lawyer filed a motion to quash the charges filed against the governor.


Judge Ramon Cruz of RTC branch 223 reset the arraignment on March 13 after Valera’s counsel Rowena Flores asked the judge to consolidate the four separate criminal charges filed in separate courts against the governor.
