WASHINGTON – Former agriculture undersecretary Jocelyn Bolante, charged with trying to enter the United States without a valid visa, is scheduled to appear before US immigration Judge George Katsivalis in Chicago on Nov. 9 for a merit hearing of his case, reports here said.


Chicago-based immigration lawyer Maricar Madrid-Crost, a University of the Philippines law school graduate who is closely monitoring the case, said she expected Katsivalis to render his decision that same day as was the normal practice.
