I met a good old friend a few days ago while spending some time with my cousin at his store in the town of Minglanilla.

A few columns ago, I talked about the sporting gains for 2006. Apparently, this has been one great year for Philippine sports.

Almost everybody really prepares for such gatherings. In my case, I’ve attended quite a few big and important gatherings such as awards nights, beauty pageants and other prestigious happenings that had the red carpet.

Of course, most of these events took place in Manila. Red carpets are usually not very long.
