[Title] => Tams avert Falcons upset bid
[Summary] => James Zablan stepped up when ace gunner Leo Avenido faltered yesterday as Far Eastern University eked out a scary 73-72 victory over gritty Adamson and rekindled its Final Four bid in the 64th UAAP basketball tournament at the Ateneo Gym.
Zablan fired six points each in the last two quarters as the Tams, last years losing finalists against La Salle, snapped out from a five-game slump to keep their hopes alive. It was their sixth win in as many losses while the loss was the 12th straight for the Falcons.

[Title] => Archers slam Falcons; Tams halt Warriors
[Summary] => Ranged against the leagues whipping squad, La Salle practically forgot all about defense and went to its offense to smother Adamson, 99-87, yesterday in the 64th UAAP basketball tournament at the Ateneo gym.
But while the Archers succeeded in stretching their win run to four to seize the lead with a 5-1 mark, they failed to impress their coach.
"My principle is to stop our opponents with a good defense not outshoot them. In this game, we did the latter, so Im not satisfied," said Pumaren.
