[Summary] => The Securities and Exchange Commission has approved the increase in the capital stock of domestic carrier Asian Spirit Inc. from P300 million to P1 billion.
The capital increase is in preparation for the companys planned initial public offering (IPO) of shares later this year or early next year to raise funds for its aggressive expansion program.
Of the P700-million capital hike, P475 million has been subscribed and P175.25 million paid up.

The YS-11 plane, piloted by Capt. Romulo Villanueva, landed safely without any casualty, Asian Spirit said in a statement. The plane was reportedly carrying 55 people.
