                    [Title] => IS-Manila officials clarify rumors
                    [Summary] =>

Some officials of the International Sschool-Manila (ISM) clarified yesterday that the car of its school superintendent David Toze was never taken away nor his house padlocked when he was fired.

The officials, who requested anonymity, said rumors were spread to get sympathy from the public.

The firing of Toze by the board of trustees has triggered a crisis at the school recently when teachers walked out in protest, promptly suspending classes for two days.

The board of trustees eventually stepped down so classes could resume.
