[Title] => Consider the poor
[Summary] => Blessed is he who considers the poor; the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. Psalm 41:1
You may have heard of the blessings Jesus spoke of in His Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:1-10). Heres a "blessing" from the Old Testament that is less well-known: "Blessed is he who considers the poor" (Psalm 41:1).
The Hebrew word translated "considers" means "to take thought for others". The word translated "poor" means "those in need".
