The Philippine Basketball Association formally and completely severed its ties with the Basketball Association of the Philippines by rescinding their Memorandum of Agreement with regards to the formation of the national team.
The PBA board of governors passed a resolution turning its back on the MOA in a side meeting in its two-day long-term planning session at the Waterfront Hotel in Lahug, Cebu.
In the same meeting, the board made it clear that Air21’s Lito Alvarez sits on the BAP board on a personal capacity.
