The Walt Disney Co. has agreed to sell its Miramax Films to an investor group for about $660 million, ending a 17-year association with the studio and a six-month bidding process.

The studio’s warning followed a decision by the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) to impose an "R" rating on "The Great Raid," the story of the liberation of a World War II Japanese concentration camp in the Philippines by US soldiers.
