This was announced by organizer Greg Gutierrez, who said President Joseph Estrada has been invited to award the Erap Cup trophies to the winners.

The PIKP Presidential Cup, the biggest karting event in the country, was first scheduled last August but it had to be postponed because of the peace and order problem in Mindanao.
