[Title] => Catching the floating bookstore
[Summary] => I worked in Port Area for three years, and, as much as I enjoyed working in a space so different from what I considered to be my dreary suburban village, not once did I ever step beyond the grimy roads I passed through to get to my jeepney stop or have a cheap meal.

[Title] => Floating bookstore docks at South Harbor
[Summary] =>
There are books that tell of great sea journeys, but this ship comes from a different direction - it has thousands of stories to tell through books that have sailed the world over.
The oldest operational passenger ship and biggest floating bookshop in the world, the MV Doulos is in the country for the fifth time and after almost six years.
The ocean-going ship, built in 1914 or two years after the historic Titanic, is docked at Manila South Harbor and would be open to the public starting today until Jan. 22.

[Title] => How about an iPod for our lives?
[Summary] =>
I tend to marvel at stupid things, like the "On-the-Go" function on my iPod. Ready to hit the door or the road, I just press down on the names of CDs or songs I want to include in my instant playlist; then later, I can delete the compilation with my thumb after listening.
If only life could be so easy. If only we all had that ease-of-use Steve Jobs has thoughtfully inscribed into what some folks are calling the gadget of the century.
