Last week's attack on computers in Asia, Europe and the United States by
suspected Filipino hackers is only the tip of the iceberg of so-called
cybercrimes or crimes involving computers that authorities all over the world
are investigating.
The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said this as it noted that the
number of cybercrimes it is handling has doubled in 1999 compared to the
previous year.
"Even though we have markedly improved our capabilities to fight cyber
