Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita disclosed Macasaet’s reported appointment yesterday. Figueroa’s resignation takes effect on Oct. 15. However, Presidential Spokesman Ignacio Bunye told The STAR Macasaet has no appointment papers yet.

In a statement, Ferrer said 932 of the cases were filed under his alternate chairmanship which is the highest number of criminal cases filed during President Arroyo’s administration.
