Industry leader Petron Corp. will invest over P260 million this year in preparation for the implementation of the newly-signed Biofuels Act, Petron president Khalil Al-Faddagh said over the weekend.

Al-Faddagh said the amount would form part of the oil company’s capital expenditure for 2007.

Al-Faddagh said this budget, which was approved by the company’s board recently, will specifically be used to upgrade Petron’s service stations to be able to comply with the Biofuels Law.
