The award formally recognizes 10 individuals between the ages of 18 and 40 who exemplify the finest attributes of the world’s young people. 


The award will be given at the JCI World Congress in November  in Seoul, South Korea. Previous winners of the TOYP include actor Jackie Chan, entrepreneur Anthony Robbins, Australian aviation pioneer Janine Shepherd, Filipino writer Rene Villanueva and Filipino entrepreneur Jay Bernardo.

                    [Summary] => CentroMigrante Inc., the entry of six budding Filipino entrepreneurs in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)’s Entrepreneurship Competition, has won the grand prize in the $30K Development/Social Impact Track Category.


The $50K Development/Social Impact Track was recently launched as a new category in the $100K MIT Entrepreneurship Competition. 


The grand prize for this category will be awarded $30,000 while the two runners-up will receive $10,000 each.

                    [Summary] => A team of young Filipino entrepreneurs has qualified as one of five finalists in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) $100K Entrepreneurship Competition. 


The winners will be announced on Thursday night (this morning, Manila time) at the MIT Kresge Auditorium in Boston.


The project, CentroMigrante Inc., provides clean, safe and affordable housing for the thousands of indigent, transient job seekers who leave their homes in the rural areas to come to the city to look for overseas jobs.
