[Title] => Emily Cheng: Breathing new life into art
[Summary] => A collection of paintings by Emily Cheng at the Ayala Museum is a welcome and delightful break from the "artwork" that has been dominating the local art scene and the papers today.

[Title] => Rekindling wonder
[Summary] => When I look at an artwork, particularly a painting or any other work on canvas, the first thing that I consider is if it grabs me. This instinctive feeling determines my interest whether I would take a longer look at it and feel it further. Then I spontaneously graduate to examining other factors which, to me, make a good painting: the skill, subject, composition and use of color.

[Title] => New York, New York
[Summary] => New York is like no other city in the world. It is bright, alive and kicking with new things, events, plays, restaurants, fashion and exhibits, among other things. Another thing is that these are all within walking or driving distance of each other. You can either walk or take the subway and you are where you want to be within minutes.
I spent four pulsating days in the city and I know it is not possible to have this kind of exhilarating feeling in such a short time in any other place but New York.
