[Title] => BFP's new regional director vows to raise level of service
[Summary] =>
The Bureau of Fire Protection in Central Visayas has a new regional director, Sr/Supt. Eleuterio Iturriaga, who assumed his new office with little fanfare, just days before the 12th Asean Summit recently.
The modest noise of his entry however was matched with the high vision he carried for the regional office. Iturriaga promised that he would do his best to elevate the level of quality of the bureau's services in the region.
Iturriaga, who was the regional director of BFP in Western Visayas, replaced Sr/Supt. Victoriano Remedio for the BFP-Central Visayas top post.

[Title] => Corruption threatens to raze fire bureau
[Summary] =>
(First of two parts)
The allegedly anomalous bidding for fire trucks is not the only controversy
apparently waiting to explode at the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
It seems that almost all aspects of the bureau's operations - from fighting
fires to office work - has some form of irregularity.
