[Title] => Eastwood Cyberpark: The first home of eTelecare
[Summary] =>
When eTelecare first set up shop in Eastwood City, Libis, it was a far cry from the thriving cyber hub that it is now. “We had to convince people to go here at night!” says Vina Villegas, eTelecare department manager for Global Organizational Development. Since 2001, she has seen how Eastwood’s developer, property giant Megaworld Corp., established everything from the ground up. Now, Eastwood City is buzzing with tens of thousands of employees of dozens of IT companies that have made their home there, mixed with the residents of the high rise condominiums and the diners and shoppers of the restaurants and mall at the city center.
eTelecare has indeed shown fast growth in the seven years of its existence, with over an estimated 10,000 number of employees all over the Philippines. More than 3,000 of them are in the Eastwood office, the company’s home base. Most of the employees in the Eastwood headquarters live nearby and choose to stay with the location, according to Villegas.

[Title] => Japanese finds 2nd home in Eastwood Cyberpark
[Summary] =>
While anime would always be a distinctly Japanese art form, its production is no longer exclusively based in Japan. Because of the scope of stories and themes that anime covers, animated series are being churned out by the dozens. However, because anime is traditionally hand-drawn animation, there are just simply not enough animators in Japan to meet the demand. So before the outsourcing industry has even boomed, anime has already been outsourcing the talents of thousands of artists and animators from other countries, including the Philippines. TOEI Animation, one of Japan’s top animation companies, has made the move to our shores and has long since joined the many multinational companies that have made their home in Eastwood Cyberpark.
Eastwood City Cyberpark — the country’s very first information technology (IT) park — has received high marks from one of its most important stakeholders: Business process outsourcing (BPO) employees.

[Title] => At Your Service
[Summary] => The boom in information technology has made life easier for many. But not for everyone. In fact, it seems that as technology becomes more and more advanced, the need for people to explain and make things simpler is becoming greater. That is why the business of customer service is growing. Customers buy all sorts of products or pay for services they dont always completely understand. And when a problem occurs, they yank at, curse or kick the product and vow never to buy anything again from the company that made it.
