(First of two parts)
Every once in a while, a groundbreaking vehicle comes along and shatters traditional expectations — even of established brands with fiercely loyal followings. In the case of BMW, the most recent example of this phenomenon comes in the form of its aging yet still impressive Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV), the X5. In addition, Willis and Shepherd strutted, flirted and romped while suitably accompanied by a suave Al Jarreau ditty, and aboard a silver BMW 6 Series at that. Now it must be said that it was that car that definitely raised the show’s sex appeal factor several notches up, because frankly, who cares about Jarreau?

It’s the sort of shape that can make a grown man’s eyes well up with tears of joy while running one’s hands over its sculptured flanks, or burst into tears out of frustration at not having three million bucks and change to purchase one. In fact, word has it that the unit put on display in Cebu was held by Customs for awhile because it looked so good (there were also some minor problems with the documents) that they mistook it for a hot car.
