Members of our Bulong Pulungan group had the chance to hear the side of those opposed to the postponement of the election in the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) scheduled to be held on Aug. 8. At a dinner, former Senate Minority Leader Aquilino “Nene” Pimentel Jr., Rep. Simeon Datumanong, Almarim Centi Tillah, president of the Islamic Society of the Philippines, and Fr. Elmer Empenado, a Catholic priest, expressed their dismay over President Aquino’s certifying as urgent Bill 4146.
