[Title] => Drug testing chairman binigyan ng ultimatum

[Title] => LTO chief nagbantang sisibakin ang regional, district officials

[Title] => DENR blamed for slack in anti-pollution drive
[Summary] => The Land Transportation Office (LTO) blamed the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) yesterday for the delayed deputation of enforcers of the anti-smoke belching campaign.
Daisy Jacobo, head of LTO-Traffic Safety Division, said that until now, the DENR has not come up with the training module to be used to train those who would apprehend smoke-belchers.
"Were not trying to pass the buck. But the buck is not with us. Our hands are tied. We cannot train these people without that training module," Jacobo noted.

[Title] => Bus operators seek deferment of Clean Air Act
[Summary] => Insisting that the government is not yet prepared to implement Republic Act 8749 or the Clean Air Act, Metro bus operators will formally ask the Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC) to temporarily shelve the program.
Cesar Apolinario, president of the Integrated Metro Bus Operators Association (IMBOA), said it was premature for the government to implement the law because it still lacks the expertise and the proper devices to do so.
