The Sandiganbayan dismissed yesterday a graft case filed by the Office of the Ombudsman against Camarines Norte Gov. Jesus Typoco in connection with the non-payment of P15 million to a local contractor.


The Office of the Ombudsman had alleged that Typoco caused undue injury to Ildefonso Macaraig, owner and proprietor of Crown I.B.M. Trading, when he refused to pay the businessman despite repeated demands.

Special prosecutor Dennis Villa-Ignacio recommended the filing of the case against the governor.

The Office of the Ombudsman filed the graft case against Typoco last February based on a complaint filed by businessman Ildefonso Macaraig due to his alleged refusal to pay the P15-million debt despite repeated demands.
