The UPHR Altas got back at last year’s conqueror Philippine Maritime Institute, 72-69, to clinch the title in the inter-collegiate side of the 59th National Students Basketball Championship at the Lamberto Macias Cultural and Sports Centre here.

The Altas outsteadied the Admirals in the extra period, 6-3, after PMI’s Cris Sta. Maria sent the game into overtime with a heave from downtown that knotted the count at 66-all.
