The Department of Health yesterday confirmed there is a diarrhea outbreak in barangays Colasi and Dalahican in Samboan town.


Regional Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit nurse Reynan Cimafranca said the diarrhea outbreak has already downed 63 residents from the two barangays. These residents, he said have been brought to nearby hospitals for medication and that no fatality has been reported yet.


Cimafranca said the department believes contaminated water caused the diarrhea outbreak, which started in the last week of March.
