[Title] => Caloocan solon scores Malonzo
[Summary] => Caloocan City Rep. Enrico Echiverri yesterday blasted City Mayor Reynaldo Malonzo for allegedly engaging in cheap tactics to further his political ambitions.
"It is very unfortunate that he has allowed his thirst for power to thwart others from serving the public. It is in this light that I vehemently denounce Mayor Malonzos acts of harassment perpetrated against me and people supporting me in these public service initiatives (jobs fair and medical missions)," Echiverri said in an interview.

[Title] => Malonzo critic declared city undesirable
[Summary] => The Caloocan City Council, in a special session late Friday, passed a resolution declaring City Mayor Reynaldo Malonzos former political ally and now most rabid critic Rep. Edgar Erice "persona non grata."
The unnumbered and undated two-page resolution was signed by Councilors Alex Aruelo, Gualberto Bacolod, Dennis Padilla, Henry Cammayo, Susan Punzalan, Melinda Mabagos, and Manny Rayos. They said Erice, a former councilor, deserved the label for his tirades against the Malonzo administration.

[Title] => Erice, Malonzo officially part ways
[Summary] =>
Neophyte Caloocan City Rep. Edgar Erice, officially cutting off his political ties with City Mayor Reynaldo Malonzo, yesterday said he has submitted and declared his "irrevocable resignation" from the Lakas Party, where Malonzo is the local party chairman.
This developed as Malonzo two weeks ago sacked 42 of Erices staff and his four security aides in a move seen as "too early politics" because of party in-fighting. Erice vehemently opposed Malonzos alleged decision to field his wife as party candidate in the May 2004 mayoral race.

[Summary] => Caloocan Rep. Enrico Echeverrri has bared his opposition to the transfer of the 96-year-old Bonifacio Shrine in Monumento in the wake of a plan aired by City Mayor Reynaldo Malonzo giving way to the expanded line of the Metro Railway Transit (MRT).
Echiverri, Malonzos former executive secretary and a long-time friend, said the historic shrine is probably the only historical landmark of which the city can boast.
