The reshuffle had the approval of PNP chief Director General Arturo Lomibao, and the National Police Commission. The reshuffle is considered one of the major movements within the police force since Lomibao assumed office in March 2005.
PNP spokesman Chief Superintendent Leopoldo Bataoil announced the reshuffle during a program aired over state-run television station NBN 4. It will take effect on Feb. 16.
