Due to his prostate cancer and arthritis, an 83-year-old retired 2nd Lieutenant of Philippine Army reportedly shot himself dead inside their house in barangay Apas, Cebu City past 4 p.m. the other day.

Chindy said that although she knew her husband was suffering from anemia, bronchitis, prostate cancer and chest pains, she never accompanied him every time he visited a physician.
