I’m down to my last few weeks of school before school year 2006-2007 comes to a close. Apart from the usual jellybean tank of school requirements, group reports, et al, my theatrical sun is finally poised to set as I take a longer-than-long sabbatical from the performance side of theater. After three arduous months of rehearsals and technical rehearsals, High School Musical performed its final show last March 4, and I my last show, probably of my entire life until a midlife crisis thrusts me again into the wonderful world of theater.

[Summary] => Early last year, as Cam and I were racking our brains one day for anything close to extraordinary, we chanced upon the announcement of a certain Little Shop of Horrors show that was being staged by Repertory Philippines. We weren’t regular theatergoers. And it didn’t help that the show would begin at exactly 8 p.m. We had only but 10 minutes to scuttle to the Globe Theater to catch the show. Au contraire, it seemed to me like the perfect plan.

[Summary] => A usual Saturday night in the life of a 19-year-old would normally consist of eating out, watching movies, going to the bar, and partying as if there’s no tomorrow. Of course, being the eccentric that I am, my Saturday nights are happily spent snuggled up to my girlfriend, watching our weekly dose of downloaded shows, catching up after a tired week of school, and being in the comfort of a home. One Friday night however, Cam and I decided to have a little night of culture – a little night of ballet.
