Garduce was the third Filipino to reach Everests peak in less than a week after Heracleo "Leo" Oracion and Erwin "Pastor" Emata.
Oracion became the first Filipino to reach the peak of the 8,848-meter-high mountain on Wednesday. Emata came second 17 hours later.
