As expected, the new head of government is a military man, thus accentuating the military character of the new regime. Military oriented also is the new constitution designed by the men in uniform and imposed upon the people sans the latter's approval. Without doubt it is a constitution that empowers the armed establishment to call the shots in the conduct of the new government. In fact, one provision gives the junta the power to remove the premier if it feels like doing so.
