Pagkaliwagan, a former national team standout who was the pitching coach of China’s junior team for five years, yielded only three hits to key the victory that capped Pasig’s sterling campaign in the tournament.

When softball was last played during the 1997 Jakarta SEA Games, the Blu Boys wound up second to Indonesia while the Blu Girls won the gold medal by beating the Indons.
