The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has actually named five individuals and seven broker firms in its probe of insider trading and stock price manipulation at the bourse.

In documents that were supposed to be filed at the justice department, the SEC's prosecution and enforcement department (PED) said it found prima facie evidence against Dante Tan, majority owner of Best World Resources Corp.; Carmelo Santiago, owner of Melo's Restaurant; Roberto Co, Clement Saw and Jimmy Juan.

Outgoing Chairman Perfecto Yasay Jr. of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) won't go quietly.

He fired another salvo at President Estrada yesterday, this time claiming the Chief Executive wanted him to pin down a broker in the Best World (BW) Resources Corp. stock manipulation case.

Responding to questions raised by Rep. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has recommended for criminal prosecution to the Department of Justice (DOJ) 11 broker-firms and individuals it found to have committed 23 various offenses that led to allegations of insider trading and stock manipulation of property and gaming firm Best World Resources Corp. (BW).

The partial report will be submitted before noon today to the DOJ.
