Universal Theater, located at the corner of Katubusan street and Rizal Avenue, was reportedly completely destroyed. Fire investigators are yet to make an estimate of the damage.

The blaze reportedly started at 9:47 a.m. and was placed under control more than six hours later at 2:30 p.m. However, as of press time firefighters are yet to totally extinguish the flames.
