[Title] => LTO urged to put a stop to overloading of buses
[Summary] => Provincial Member Victor Maambong is urging the Land Transportation Office to strictly implement the anti-overloading law.
In a resolution, Maambong wants the LTO as well as other deputized enforcement agencies to apprehend drivers of over loaded buses.
The National Center of Transportation Studies say that 120,000 cases out of the reported 970,000 road accidents are attributed to overloading.
Overloaded trucks also hasten the deterioration of roads. The resolution is expected to be approved in tomorrow's session.
