Believe it or not, both Slam Magazine and Sports Illustrated picked Miami to make it back to the National Basketball Association (NBA) Finals this season although neither predicted the Heat to retain the crown.
Slam chose Dallas to win the title and Sports Illustrated, Phoenix. The picks meant the two widely-read publications foresee a shift in the balance of power from the East to the West.

[Title] => What a rock star
[Summary] => Since my favorite sports season is still a couple of months away and the new seasons of the best TV shows (No, The O.C. does not qualify) have yet to air, there is really only one show currently airing that I make a point to catch Rock Star: Supernova. No, its not a great show, but it serves its entertainment purpose and it keeps TV interesting until we can sink our teeth into season two of Prison Break or BSG. Supernova is TVs version of Antoine Walker.

[Title] => Riley works a miracle
[Summary] => MIAMI It didnt seem like Miami could pull off a win as Dallas surged to a 13-point lead, its biggest, at 89-76, with 6:34 to go in Game 3 of the National Basketball Association (NBA) Finals at the American Airlines Arena here Tuesday night (yesterday morning, Manila).
But coach Pat Riley refused to give up and gambled his career on several critical decisions in the fourth period.

[Title] => Can Riley rally the Heat?
[Summary] => MIAMI From Dallas, our party of three weary travelers took an early morning flight to land here Monday afternoon as we continue to track the National Basketball Association (NBA) Finals.
Solar vice president for production Erick Tam, broadcaster Vitto Lazatin and I left our hotel in Dallas at 5 a.m. to catch the 6:30 a.m. Northwest flight to Miami via Memphis. Erick and Vitto didnt sleep a wink that night while I got in an hour.
Game 2 finished close to midnight last Sunday and we still had to pack for the flight to Miami after a five-day stay in Dallas.
