[Title] => 32nd Bamboo Organ Festival
[Summary] =>
From February 22 to March 1, St. Joseph Church in Las Piñas City will be celebrating the 32nd annual International Bamboo Festival. The Las Piñas bamboo organ is one of our national treasures. We rank it along with the Rice Terraces of the Cordillera. First, because it is truly Filipino. True that the person who conceived and constructed the bamboo organ was a Spanish missionary named Fr. Diego Cera de la Virgen del Carmen, an Augustinian Priest from Graus (Huesio, Spain). He was the first parish priest of Las Piñas and resided there from 1795 to 1830.
