[Title] => Fraudulent real estate transactions
[Summary] => I received a call from Benny, the nephew of our late Publisher Max Soliven, in reaction to our column the other day (“How to steal a house in Dasmariñas Village”), where we wrote that the house of Ambassador Consuelo “Baby” Puyat Reyes was reportedly sold without her knowledge by a certain Gregorio Co to Benny and his wife Michelle for P25 million.

[Title] => How to steal a house in Dasmariñas Village
[Summary] => Sources informed us that Philippine Ambassador to Chile Consuelo “Baby” Puyat Reyes came home last year only to get the biggest shock of her life upon learning that her house in Dasmariñas Village had been sold without her knowledge by a man who goes by the name of Gregorio Co. While the Ambassador is dedicatedly working overseas to serve her country, it’s quite ironic that she may find herself having nothing to come home to when she finally retires.

[Title] => HIV/AIDS: Unseen terrorist in the workplace
[Summary] => Involvement and support by the business sector in the Philippines towards HIV/AIDS awareness continues to be limited, often stymied by the question: why should we?
To give impetus to the drive to expand the participation of the local business community, UNAIDS recently appointed Oscar Reyes as UNAIDS goodwill ambassador. The mandate of Ambassador Reyes, who was formerly country chairman of Shell companies in the Philippines, includes engaging the broader business community in a national campaign for HIV/AIDS prevention, control and care.

[Title] => PAL sees lower profit due to mounting costs
[Summary] => Rising fuel costs and the steady decline of the peso against the dollar have tolled heavily on flag-carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) as net profit starting April last year up to end September is expected to be 35 percent lower than projected, it was learned yesterday.
This still has not yet taken into account the expected negative impact which the recent signing of a new air services agreement between the Philippines and Taiwan last Sept. 26 restoring commercial airlinks between the two countries will have on PAL.
