The Manila Police District-Special Operations Group (MPD-SOG) has apprehended a man claiming to be a Protestant reverend preying on couples by performing civil weddings at exorbitant rates at Manila City Hall.


MPD-SOG case officer Police Inspector Renato Solis said 52-year-old Alex Sison, of Tondo, Manila was reportedly charged with estafa through swindling before the Manila City Prosecutor’s Office. He claimed to be a Protestant reverend connected with the Jesus Christ Gospel Aid Inc., based in Payatas, Quezon City.

Former Mandaluyong Mayor Ben Abalos fired 52 points as Wack Wack jumped the gun on chief rival Luisita by taking a three-point lead at the start yesterday of the second Federation Interclub seniors golf tournament at the Wack Wack east course.

The 52 points of Abalos sparked a highly-charged start by Wack Wack which saw the host turning in three scores in the 50s in a bid to strike back at the same team which routed them in the PAL Interclub two weeks ago in Cagayan de Oro.
