[Title] => Out of the loop!
[Summary] =>
In a corporate setting, a senior executive who finds out that he is apparently out of the loop in major decision making on matters in his turf, has reason to worry
an omen of a career in twilight. Thats because the relationship of a senior executive to his boss, usually the CEO, is a matter of confidence. Finding oneself out of the loop is more than a subtle hint that there is some loss of confidence in an executives ability to carry out his mandate.

[Title] => Sugarcane gasoline at only P27 per liter
[Summary] =>
One of four dozen major bills clogged in the Senate (although passed by the House of Representatives nine months ago) is for bio-fuel incentives. If passed, it would give tax breaks and soft loans to makers, sellers and fleet users of gasoline and diesel alternatives. No other measure than the Bio-Fuel Bill clearly points the way out of uncontrollably skyrocketing crude oil rates.

[Title] => A touching tale
[Summary] => There are thousands of stories of how our kababayans overseas share the bounty they received in their new host countries with their less fortunate brothers here in the Philippines. One such is from New York-based Rudy Abad, but with a sentimental twist.
Rudy, a widower of four years, donated $50,000 (about P2.8 million) to Gawad Kalinga for three row houses of 16 units each in the Baseco compound in honor of his wife, Marie Rose, who died in the World Trade Centers Sept.11 tragedy.

[Title] => Switch to alcogas hinges on Congress
[Summary] => Not a few readers wrote to question the line in my piece on biofuels (Gotcha, 4 May 2005) that alcogas is largely experimental. They invariably pointed to Brazil, which has been using biogas for decades, as well as product introductions in America and Europe. To reiterate, alcogas (or biogas) from sugarcane is largely experimental in RP; that is why no market price has yet been set. In contrast, biodiesel from coconut is available in auto supply stores, though still not many enough to make a dent in dollar savings and air cleaning, at P65-P80 per liter.
