The source said it was when suspected notorious robber Ruel Rey Torres was arrested last June that Aves finally decided to leave Cebu, convinced that the task force created to pursue him last March was catching up.

Records at the Homicide Section reveal that Ares has been implicated in a string of cases ranging from murder to frustrated murder from January 12, 2004 up to January 7 this year.
