[Title] => Viva aims to repeat over Welcoat today
[Summary] => After Viva-FEU scrambled and snatched Game One in overtime of the PBL Unity Cup finals from Welcoat Paints over the weekend, Koy Banal wouldn’t dwell on the prospect of a possible sweep of the best-of-five series.

"Please don’t ask me the possibility of a sweep. We’re just happy we’re up, 1-0," said Banal minutes after the Water Force survived the Paint Masters, 59-54, last Saturday.

After Viva-FEU and Sunkist-UST scored an all-important wins early in the day, Blustar capped the day of upsets with a masterful 80-74 win over Fash Liquid in a game dubbed as showdown of detergents in the PBL Platinum Cup at the Pasig Sports Center.

With Lou Gatumbanto providing little of everything, the Detergent Kings dictated the tempo of the game right from the very start, which was a complete turnaround from their first encounter where Fash proved too fast and furious for Blustar.
