Three cinema owners in Makati have remitted a total of P752,947 to the Operation Smile Philippines (OSP), following the passage of a city council resolution authorizing the city government to collect an additional P1 for every movie ticket sold from July to September this year to help fund the annual surgical mission to repair cleft lips.
In a report to Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay, the OSP said the remittances came from Ayala Land, Inc. (P576,788), Rockwell Land, Inc. (P115,195) and Waltermart (P60,964).
