Armed Forces spokesman Lt. Col. Daniel Lucero said two bandits were killed and seven others wounded when troops raided the jungle hideout of the notorious Abu Sofia kidnap gang in Barangay Laguitan Tuesday night.

"There are information that the Abu Sofia were the ones who coddled Janjalani and his followers," he said.
