An adventurous dish, I added ulang to a very European recipe of veal in white sauce. The flavors combine very well.

Looking through some of our old recipes, we found this and thought the exotic combination of veal and ulang (crayfish) will be exciting enough for home cooks.

An adventurous dish, I added ulang to a very European recipe of veal in white sauce. The flavors combine very well. I am proud of this recipe.

Veal in white sauce with ulang

Ingredients:

4 pcs. veal steak

1/4 kg ulang, cooked and flaked

2 tbsp butter

1 onion, chopped

1/4 cup white wine

1/4 cup beef or chicken broth

1 tin all-purpose cream

Salt, pepper, flour

Procedure:

Season veal steak with salt and pepper.

Dredge in flour, then let stand a few minutes.

Fry veal steak in butter. Set aside.

In the same pan, cook onions.

Add ulang and cook for about 2 more minutes.

Add wine and broth and let boil.

Add cream, stir and add veal.

Bathe the pieces with the sauce and then let boil once.

Serve with pasta or green salad.
