Marc Leviste opens up on son’s visit to Kris Aquino

When i came across the Facebook post of Marc Leviste’s son, Ronin with pictures of him and his girlfriend, Andrea visiting his dad’s ex-girlfriend, Kris Aquino, I asked Marc about it.
Apparently, the love of Marc’s kids for Kris is not coterminous with the story of the ex-couple. Even if Kris and Marc parted ways, their relationship didn’t exactly fail. That’s because both of them have become happier persons after their journey together.
Here’s Marc’s reply:
“During our time together, I found it easy to love Kris because I was willing to do anything she wanted me to. I did everything she asked because I knew she was already going through a lot of discomfort and difficult times, and I felt both the passion and compassion to take care of her.
“The least I could do was not be a burden to her, which is why I also got along well with the Aquino family and her friends, both in the States and in Manila.
“My GF Aira and I didn’t talk about Ronin’s post — we don’t need to. My kids are already adults and can make their own decisions, so I don’t interfere with whom they choose to see or where they go.

“Nevertheless, I’m glad that my children know how to value friendship and respect relationships, both past and present. I hope their visit and presence brought Kris and her sons happiness and joy.
“I also pray for her immediate recovery so she can spend more quality time with her family and friends, and make a comeback in showbiz, as her fans truly miss her on TV. All is well.
“Ronin visited her TK (Tita Kris) while Aira and I got to bond with Josh at a wedding reception.”
Then I asked Marc how he felt about Kris’ revelation that her doctor-boyfriend left her because he didn’t love her.
“I can’t comment on their relationship,” Marc explained, “because it’s none of my business.”
That’s the mark of a true gentleman.

HedKandi x Moony
I was over the moon about meeting Moony backstage after her awesome show at HedKandi’s (HK) silver anniversary shindig at the Stratosphere Events Hall. What a thrill it was to meet the HedKandi squad at their mediacon.
Since I’m a lunar-powered creature who lives it up and goes “bottoms up,” the cool music of HedKandi and Moony serves as the soundtrack of my “Carpe Noctem” moments. Kudos to Stratosphere Manila, especially to my newfound friends — Vanessa Francisco, Ryan Singh and Lyn Inductivo — for such an “EARgasmic” event.
“After 25 years, the ‘love affair ‘ of HK and Moony with Pinoys goes on and on.”

Ara Mina’s message to Vic Sotto
I have fond memories of my Macau trip with “Sis” Ara Mina. Since there are many Pinoy OFWS in the “Vegas of Asia,” Ara was mobbed for photo-ops everywhere we went. She gamely posed with all our kabayans. No request was left ungranted.
That’s how genuinely kind Ara is. The beauty of her heart will shine through as she runs for councilor of Pasig City (where her parents have an ancestral home) She joins forces with mayoral candidate, Sarah Discaya, in Team Kaya This. Their advocacies are women’s rights, well-being of the youth and protection of disadvantaged sectors. Arriba Ara and Sarah!
Here’s my chat with Ara:
What’s your message to bashers of celebs who join politics?
“Well, everyone has the right to freedom of speech and the ability to contribute to society, regardless of their background. Let’s focus on evaluating actions and ideas, not just professions.”
What’s your message to Vic Sotto since you are supporting Sarah who’s the rival of his son, Mayor Vico?
“Bossing (Vic) is such a gentleman so I know he will respect my choice and not make an issue out of it. I don’t know Vico personally. As for Ate Sarah, we are aligned in all aspects.”

True Faith rocks on
My ‘‘soulmate friend” Meds Marfil took a hiatus from doing gigs with his band (my all-time fave), True Faith, when he left for the States last year to marry Mark Angeles. Their wedding was headline news because not too many people knew that Meds is gay.
Since they are now based in California, Meds will shuttle back and forth so True Faith can still keep the music playing. He’s back in town and all of True Faith’s gigs have been jampacked. After three decades (and counting), Meds and his bandmates (Eugene, Macky, Allan, Kaka and Jake) live up to their hit song Perfect.
True Faith’s music remains impeccable. Catch the iconic band’s last two shows before Meds returns to the US (April 3 at Hard Rock Cafe in Conrad Hotel and April 5 at 19 East).
