P10.86 million weed seized in Caloocan

MANILA, Philippines — Anti-narcotics agents confiscated 90.5 kilos of marijuana valued at P10.86 million in Caloocan City on Tuesday.
Brig. Gen. Anthony Aberin, director of the National Capital Region Police Office, said the illegal drugs were recovered from four suspects who were arrested in Barangay 185.
Aberin said the operation was carried ouat after police negotiated with the suspects for the sale of the marijuana.
The suspects, whom police did not identify, received bundles of marked money, which signaled lawmen to arrest them.
The drugs were concealed in three black boxes and two plastic containers, police said.
“I urge the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities, as your cooperation is crucial in keeping Metro Manila safe,” Aberin said in a statement.
In Valenzuela City, 51 grams of shabu worth P346,800 were seized from a drug suspect yesterday.
The suspect, alias Iking, was apprehended in Barangay Punturin, according to Northern Police District director Col. Josefino Ligan.
All five suspects are being held on drug charges.
