Canlubang, Luisita in PAL Hall of Fame

MANILA, Philippines — Canlubang and Luisita, which formed the most storied rivalry in the rich history of the Philippine Airlines (PAL) Interclub, will lead three other clubs into enshrinement in the tournament’s Hall of Fame, in time for the 76th staging of the country’s biggest team golf championship.
The Sugar Barons are the winningest Men’s titlists with 17 PAL Interclub victories and the first club to win it five straight years (2006 to 2010) and another four straight (2000 to 2003). Their Seniors team earned its place in the Hall for winning it 11 times highlighted by a streak of four straight from 2006 to 2009.
Luisita, meanwhile, owns the most wins by any Senior team in history, winning it a total of 18 times while owning an eye-popping streak of six wins from 2000 to 2005.
The regular Luisita team, meanwhile, is an eight-time winner and has a three-peat to its record carved out from 1991 to 1993.
The other clubs who made the Hall of Fame in the Regular Men’s championship are Bacolod Gold and Country Club, Camp Aguinaldo and the recent power of the Interclub, Manila Southwoods.
