Nancy Binay hints at Makati mayoral run

MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Nancy Binay is seemingly preparing for a mayoral bid in Makati in the 2025 midterm elections, based on a Facebook post over the weekend.

“Ready to serve...,” Binay said with the hashtag #Makati2025.

The post is accompanied by a photo collage of Binay and her constituents.

Binay is on her last term as a senator.

Last May, Binay said she was “contemplating” running for Makati mayor in 2025.

In August, the senator said she was “most likely” running for mayor of Makati.

Binay’s younger sister Abby, the incumbent mayor of Makati, is reportedly seeking a Senate seat.
