MANILA, Philippines — Inclement weather brought by Tropical Storm Enteng washed away or prompted postponement yesterday of various games in and around Metro Manila, including the Creamline-Akari face-off for the PVL Reinforced Conference crown.

The PVL finale and the battle for third between PLDT and Cignal at the Smart Araneta Coliseum have been rescheduled for tomorrow at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig, as announced by the organizing Sports Vision.

“Due to severe weather conditions caused by Tropical Storm Enteng, the one-game finale between Akari and Creamline has been moved to Sept. 4,” Sports Vision stated. “Our top priority is the safety of our players and fans.”

Non-stop downpour caused widespread flooding, prompting cancellation of many other sports events, including the official launch of UAAP Season 87 supposedly at Novotel in Cubao, Quezon City.

The La Salle Green Archers are defending the seniors basketball crown in the collegiate league kicking off Saturday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Also washed out were MPBL games, the first round of the ICTSI Junior PGT Luzon Series 6 at the Mount Malarayat Golf and Country Club in Lipa City, Batangas and the Coca-Cola Golf Classic at Sta. Elena in Laguna.
